About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Produce radiographic images for medical interpretation
  • Perform the correct radiologic exams and produce high-quality images
  • Perform optimal x-rays
  • Rotate through several modalities, portables on the floors, surgery, fluoro, and the emergency department performing X-rays
  • Provide coverage of diagnostic imaging at UAMS
  • Communicate with patients, patients’ family members, co-workers, physicians, healthcare staff, clerical staff, patient care departments, families, and visitors
  • Continue education and learn new procedures on a day-to-day basis
  • Answer phones and communicate with different floors in the hospital
  • Move C-ARM and OARM’s
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associates - Graduate of an approved Radiology program
  • Registered or eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Licensed by the State of Arkansas in Radiology Technology
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs. or more
  • Annual TB Screening, Criminal Background Check, Substance Abuse Testing
  • Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
