About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Decontaminate, assemble, inspect, package, test, and sterilize instruments and/or sets in the Reusable Medical Equipment department
- Maintain records of loads and items removed from the department for processing
- Transport loads to and from SSD
- Prepare proper storage for equipment and instrumentation
- Perform routine biological testing for steam autoclaves, Sterrad, and System 1E
- Assist Operating Room staff with needed supplies and equipment
- Load and transport medical instruments and equipment
- Perform tests on and utilize mechanical equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED
- Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Annual TB Screening
- Criminal Background Check
- Substance Abuse Testing
- Preferred: One year of experience as an Instrument Tech or a recent Instrument Tech certification
- Preferred: Certified Instrument Tech
