About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Produce interventional radiology images for medical interpretation
- Educate and prepare patients for procedures, including reviewing medical history, draping, positioning, site preparation, and administering contrast media or medications within scope of practice
- Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic vascular interventional procedures
- Analyze results and resolve image quality issues
- Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams
- Monitor patient condition and report or respond to changes
- Implement safety standards and perform equipment quality control
- Troubleshoot, resolve, or report equipment malfunctions
- Maintain daily work assignments
- Support ACR accreditation and JCAHO, FDA, and ODH inspections
- Assist with interviewing, selection, orientation, and training of new staff
- Ensure staff education requirements
- Participate in disciplinary processes when necessary
- Maintain knowledge and skills required for duties
- Stock rooms and clean equipment according to department standards
- Adhere to time and attendance policies and discuss schedule variations with the manager
- Participate in departmental changes, workflow improvements, and rotating on-call schedule
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma/GED
- Registry eligible or registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License or must be obtained before the start date
- New graduate or up to one (1) year radiology technologist experience
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Required pre-employment screening: annual TB screening, criminal background check, and substance abuse testing
- Resume, license or certificate, and three professional references required for application
