About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Produce quality images and provide patient care in the UAMS Breast Center
- Operate specialized radiologic equipment for breast imaging exams, including mammography and breast ultrasounds
- Maintain adequate supplies and keep the workspace clean
- Explain mammography exam procedures and position patients for radiological examinations
- Provide patient education regarding mammography and breast health
- Assist with records management and schedule appointments
- Obtain patient history and enter it into Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Review previous records to determine correct studies
- Ensure exams and images are completed and stored in Picture Archiving and Communication (PACS) systems
- Enroll patients in the BreastCare Program as appropriate
- Maintain knowledge of breast procedures through continuing education and professional development
- Complete other duties as requested
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma
- Graduate of a Radiological Technology Program
- Registered with ARRT
- Arkansas Radiologic Technologist License
- Annual TB Screening
- Criminal Background Check
- Substance Abuse Testing
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
