About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide direct patient care to assigned Women's Health patients
  • Assist clinic nurses with patient examinations and treatments under direct supervision
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examination
  • Assist with medical procedures and examinations
  • Conduct patient interviews and measure vital signs
  • Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and dressing changes
  • Administer approved medications
  • Research and scribe physicians’ orders/accession orders for clinical laboratory or appropriate processing center
  • Register and schedule patients for appointments and procedures using registration and scheduling systems
  • Perform other duties as needed
  • Meet the stated physical activity and medical facility environment requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School, GED or formal educational equivalent
  • Current BLS
  • Completion of an Accredited Medical Assistant training program
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong work ethics and accountability
  • Experience in an ambulatory care setting (preferred)
  • 1 or more years of MA experience (preferred)
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • Cover Letter/Letter of Application, License or Certificate, and Resume required
  • Annual TB screening
  • Criminal background check
  • Position subject to pre-employment screening, including criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification
  • Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs
  • Ability to push and pull 25 lbs
  • Ability to work inside a medical facility environment
