Key responsibilities & impact- Provide precise, timely laboratory testing to support accurate diagnoses and optimal patient care
- Perform blood phlebotomy
- Test patient samples
- Prepare specimens for transport
- Deliver laboratory results efficiently
- Instruct staff
- Manage inventory
- Support accreditation efforts
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory procedures
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Participate in quality assurance programs
- Communicate findings to clinicians
- Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards
- Support patient-centered healthcare at the UAMS Family Medical Center in Jonesboro
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, Chemistry, or Biology
- ASCP or another accrediting agency certified or eligible (Certification must be obtained within one year of eligibility)
- Previous clinical laboratory experience preferred
- Valid ASCP certification preferred
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Annual TB Screening
- Criminal Background Check
- Substance Abuse Testing
