About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform laboratory testing on patient specimens using automated and manual chemistry analyzers
- Produce accurate and timely test results to support diagnosis and treatment
- Process and evaluate specimens and perform appropriate tests
- Record and evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly quality control issues for supervisor review
- Maintain safe work practices and follow regulatory requirements
- Engage supervisor, manager, or director as appropriate
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the assigned section in the Core Lab
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Medical Technology or Medical Laboratory Sciences OR an approved ASCP discipline (30 semester hours in biology and chemistry, which may be obtained within, or in addition to, the Bachelor's)
- ASCP or another accrediting agency certified or eligible (Certification must be obtained within one year of employment)
- Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Annual TB Screening, Criminal Background Check, Substance Abuse Testing
- Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs
- Ability to push and pull 25 lbs
- Previous clinical laboratory experience (preferred)
- Valid ASCP certification (preferred)
