About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Handle and process human milk through the milk bank laboratory
  • Maintain lab equipment and clean laboratory, storage, and distribution areas
  • Maintain operational inventory
  • Process human milk and perform bacterial testing and macronutrient analysis
  • Maintain food handler certification
  • Interact with and assist the public professionally and courteously
  • Communicate accurate and complete information and maintain confidentiality
  • Maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, management, and ancillary departments
  • Assist internal and external stakeholders with customer service
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma
  • One (1) Year Hospital or Healthcare Laboratory technician experience
  • Food Safety Handler Certification within four (4) weeks of hire (at hospital orientation)
  • Food handler certification and training to support milk processing techniques
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • Annual TB Screening
  • Criminal Background Check
  • Sex Offender Registry screening
  • Substance Abuse Testing
  • List of three Professional References (name, email, business title)
  • Resume
