About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide best-practice physical therapy patient care in outpatient and inpatient settings
  • Perform comprehensive patient examinations using appropriate tests and measures
  • Complete evaluations and develop individualized plans of care and home programs
  • Provide evidence-based treatment and monitor patients’ physiological status during sessions
  • Provide individualized patient education
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and education sessions and submit accurate charges
  • Coordinate, modify, and administer treatment programs
  • Provide education regarding the physical therapy discipline
  • Serve as a clinical instructor/mentor and educate other disciplines within UAMS and/or the community
  • Participate in multidisciplinary and department communication, patient care discussions, and meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 2002 OR Master’s degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 2016 OR Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
  • Current Arkansas Physical Therapy License or eligible to obtain license within 1 month of date of hire
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Candidate must pass state abuse registry checks, drug screen, submit to a TB skin test and required immunizations or provide proof of immunizations
  • 2 years of experience in Physical Therapy (preferred)
  • OCS, CSCS, DN Certified (preferred)
  • License or Certificate required for application
  • List of three Professional References
  • Resume
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • Annual TB Screening, Criminal Background Check, Sex Offender Registry, Substance Abuse Testing
