About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide training activities as part of the county WIC office team
- Communicate with the grantor and community partners
- Assist with building training capacity
- Collect data for program evaluation
- Research and analyze data pertinent to work programs and prepare reports
- Assist clients with program-related information and needs
- Teach and demonstrate health behavior skills
- Provide informal education and social skills supports
- Provide formal educational information based on the Baby and Me curriculum
- Coordinate communication among community groups, local health unit supervisor, and program supervisor
- Assist in developing or revising policies, procedures, and directives
- Compile program information for budget proposals and resource planning
- Prepare and respond to program correspondence
- Interpret and apply administrative directives, policies, and procedures
- Maintain leave records, appointment calendar, and incoming correspondence
- Travel to other local health units for community outreach
- Maintain accurate database data using RedCap
- Submit weekly work logs of client activities
- Perform related assigned responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Other job-related experience and education may be substituted for all or parts of these basic requirements
- Knowledge of mathematics and statistics
- Knowledge of family health and child development
- Knowledge of computers and software applications
- Ability to prepare, present, and review oral and written information and reports
- Ability to research and analyze related work program information
- Ability to analyze financial records and prepare reports
- Ability to develop, recommend, interpret, and apply policies and procedures
- Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of others
- Good communication skills
- Ability to travel occasionally, as needed
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and independently
