About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Analyze and reconcile the Daily Appointment Report daily
  • Ensure scheduled appointments are accurately reflected in the electronic health record
  • Serve as subject-matter expert on Government Payors
  • Validate pre-appointment requirements for government payors
  • Resolve patient access items in billing work queues, including registration inaccuracies, insurance verification issues, and demographic corrections
  • Provide operational support and desk coverage as needed
  • Interact with and assist the public professionally and courteously
  • Communicate accurate and complete information while maintaining confidentiality
  • Maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, management, and ancillary departments
  • Assist internal and external stakeholders with exceptional customer service

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School/GED plus 4 years of experience in customer service, call center, business office administration, registration, billing, insurance, or scheduling; or Associate's Degree plus 2 years of experience in those areas; or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in patient registration, scheduling, or billing in a healthcare environment preferred
  • CHAA certification preferred
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • Resume required
  • Annual TB Screening
  • Criminal Background Check
  • Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs
  • Ability to push and pull 25 lbs
  • Ability to work in an inside medical facility environment
