About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide clerical and patient care support as a member of the Behavioral Health Service Line Women's Inpatient Unit care team
- Perform tasks under the direct supervision of the Clinical Services Manager and direction of the RN
- Assist with processing medical records for patient admission and discharge
- Serve as receptionist for the nursing unit
- Complete conflict management training to identify, prevent, and mitigate disruptive behaviors
- Collect and document assessment data
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient Plans of Care
- Provide patient and family education and discharge planning
- Administer medication per standard including drug information to patients and families
- Support others and contribute to a positive clinical education environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school, GED, or formal education equivalent
- 1 year of work experience in the Health Care field
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to accept and follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to communicate following Guest Care guidelines
- Successful completion of the UAMS PCT and PSC courses
- Must successfully complete UAMS-sponsored conflict management training within six months of hire
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Successful completion of pre-employment screening, including Adult Maltreatment, Annual TB Screening, Child Maltreatment, Criminal Background Check, Substance Abuse Testing, and education verification
