About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide clerical and patient care support to the Patient Management Team under the direct supervision of an RN or other licensed/certified healthcare professional
- Assist with processing bulk storage, peripheral sticks, daily pod audits, blood culture processing, and glucometer checks
- Act as a preceptor for new PCTs
- Assist the charge nurse with assigned duties
- Assist patients with direct patient care, grooming, oral hygiene, comfort measures, and mobility-related activities
- Document patient care tasks, vital signs, ADLs, wave tests, and I&Os accurately and promptly
- Obtain patient reports and communicate with RNs regarding patient care
- Inform nurses of patient requests or complaints
- Carry out delegated plans of care using a multidisciplinary approach
- Communicate with team members to facilitate patient care
- Assist patients and visitors with information or problem resolution
- Notify appropriate staff of problems requiring prompt intervention
- Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Transport patients to other hospital areas as directed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of patient care in a healthcare setting
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Annual TB Screening
- Criminal Background Check
- Substance Abuse Testing
- List of three Professional References (name, email, business title)

- Ability to perform required physical activities, including hearing, standing, talking, walking, pulling, pushing, reaching, sitting, stooping, grasping, kneeling, repetitive motion, and handling sharps
