About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support Pharmacy and Therapeutic Service Lines 340B operations and program oversight
- Assist the 340B Program Manager and pharmacy administration with day-to-day program management
- Provide oversight to mixed-use areas, contract pharmacy, invoice payments, procurement, and policy compliance
- Support self-audits and program audits by outside entities, including HRSA
- Maintain and test split-billing software and help ensure safeguards for program integrity
- Manage purchases, accumulators, receiving, and inventory controls
- Support 340B cost-savings initiatives and work directly with third-party administrators
- Maintain contracts with third parties, including contract pharmacies and wholesalers, with UAMS Legal
- Perform monthly self-audits and report non-compliance findings to the 340B Oversight Committee
- Maintain the Office of Pharmacy Affairs website with accurate eligible-clinic information
- Support contract pharmacies and wholesalers and assist with account setup
- Consult with staff and directors to implement savings- or care-quality-improving programs and workflows
- Develop recommendations to improve operational efficiency
- Analyze drug purchases, identify savings opportunities, and implement purchasing changes
- Provide hands-on support during HRSA audits and lead efforts to address findings
- Attend 340B University biannually or more frequently as needed
- Address inconsistencies with the financial Operational Analysis Supervisor
- Educate and update outpatient pharmacy employees on the 340B program semiannually
- Support 340B education and training for new outpatient pharmacy staff
- Fill in as a pharmacy technician in the outpatient pharmacy when needed
- Support procurement and distribution of medications to contract pharmacies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma/GED plus an undergraduate degree or equivalent relevant experience
- 2 years of auditing and analytics experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft products
- 1 year to obtain 340B ACE Certification
- Microsoft Office® and EMR experience
- Pharmacy Technician License and/or Master’s Degree preferred
- Work in a specialized technician role preferred
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- 2+ years of pharmacy experience preferred
- 340B Apexus Advanced 340B Operations Certificate preferred
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Annual TB Screening, Criminal Background Check, Substance Abuse Testing
- License or Certificate and three professional references required with application
