About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide timely clinical information and recommendations to healthcare providers and the public about toxic or potentially toxic exposures throughout APDIC’s designated region.
- Provide medication information to callers.
- Provide information and treatment advice regarding toxic or potentially toxic exposures.
- Create and update electronic medical records for inquiries.
- Provide educational information on toxic substances and drug substances to callers.
- Assist in the education/instruction of professional students and residents.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
- Strong reading, writing, and computer skills.
- Emergency Department (ED) or critical care nursing experience preferred.
- New RN graduates with prior Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience in emergency or critical care settings will also be considered.
- Curriculum Vitae required.
- Criminal Background Check, Substance Abuse Testing.
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
