About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide quality respiratory patient care under physician direction and Respiratory Care Clinical Team Manager supervision
Perform routine respiratory care procedures, including updrafts, metered dose inhalers, chest physiotherapy, arterial blood gases, incentive spirometry, intrapulmonary percussive ventilation, patient education, and mechanical ventilator setup and management
Assist in codes and rapid responses
Call for or physically move equipment and medical supplies into assigned work areas
Enter patient treatment notes in the e-chart system and/or patient charts
Adhere to license, credentials, institutional policies, procedures, and standards
Promote a healthy work environment and project a positive image for UAMS Medical Center
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School diploma plus 2 years direct respiratory care experience OR an Associate's OR Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care
Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Must hold a current Arkansas Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (LRCP)
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Respiratory care
Preferred: ACCS, NPS, ACLS
Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
Must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in N95 masks, PAPR or CAPR personal protective equipment
Required application documents: License or Certificate, three professional references, and resume
Subject to pre-employment screening, including criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification
Ability to lift and carry 100+ lbs and push and pull 100+ lbs
Ability to perform required physical activities in an inside medical facility environment with listed biological, chemical, electrical, radiation, and other hazards
