About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department
  • Coordinate and triage patients
  • Collaborate with clinic providers, fellows, and staff
  • Work with referral sources to facilitate appointments and coordinate transitions of care
  • Provide patient education on complex conditions
  • Develop and implement individual health plans with patients, families, and care providers
  • Collect and document assessment data
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care
  • Administer medication and provide drug information to patients and families
  • Delegate care according to UAMS standards and legal and regulatory requirements
  • Support a positive clinical education environment and serve as a resource for student nurses and staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Associate’s degree in Nursing, Diploma RN, or Master’s degree in Nursing
  • Graduate of an accredited RN Nursing program
  • Minimum of 1 year Registered Nursing experience
  • Valid Nursing license
  • Basic computer skills
  • Employees must be capable of donning and performing routine tasks in N95 masks, PAPR, or CAPR personal protective equipment
  • Current BLS preferred
  • Current ACLS preferred
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • Annual TB screening, criminal background check, sex offender registry check, and substance abuse testing
