RN – Endoscopy In-House Agency

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide specialized care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures
- Coordinate and triage patient care
- Collaborate with clinic providers, fellows, staff, interdisciplinary teams, and other stakeholders
- Work with referral sources to facilitate appointments and coordinate transitions of care
- Provide patient and family education on complex conditions and discharge planning
- Develop and implement individual health plans and plans of care
- Provide direct patient care in the Endoscopy lab, including procedural space, Preop, and PACU roles
- Collect and document patient assessment data
- Evaluate patient progress toward desired outcomes
- Administer medication according to department standards and the Nurse Practice Act
- Verify and evaluate care for consistency with patient- and family-centered care principles, practice standards, and regulatory requirements
- Support integration of current evidence into nursing practice
- Promote a positive educational environment for students and staff
- Communicate care through medical-record documentation
- Report variances in care, systems, and processes
- Participate in staff recruitment and retention
- Facilitate development and implementation of evidence-based nursing practice standards
- May perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid RN license issued by the State of Arkansas
- Minimum of 12 months of experience as an RN in an acute care hospital
- Experience in the past 12 months must include 6 months in a direct patient care role in an acute care hospital
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor’s in Nursing, or Master's in Nursing
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Strong work ethic and accountability
- Work one major holiday and one additional holiday, if applicable, during the 13-week RN Internal Contract agreement period
- Ability to be fitted for, don, and perform routine tasks in N95 masks, PAPR, or CAPR equipment
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Pre-employment screening, including criminal background, drug testing, and/or education verification
