About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform telephonic patient triage using decision-making software
- Assist with patient consults and transports
- Use videoconferencing equipment for telemedicine operations
- Deliver nursing care within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas
- Collect and document assessment data
- Develop and implement Plans of Care
- Implement medical orders using an interdisciplinary approach
- Evaluate patient progress toward desired outcomes
- Provide patient and family education and discharge planning
- Administer medications and provide drug information to patients and families
- Act as a resource and support others
- Deliver patient care using defined nursing modality principles
- Delegate care according to UAMS standards, legal and regulatory requirements, job description, and education/training
- Contribute to a positive clinical education environment and serve as a resource for student nurses and staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with Associates Degree or Nursing Diploma
- Valid RN License
- One (1) year of Registered Nursing experience
- Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Annual TB Screening, Criminal Background Check, Sex Offender Registry, Substance Abuse Testing
- Required documents: License or Certificate, three professional references, and resume
- Preferred: Bachelors in Nursing or Master's in Nursing
- Preferred: 5 years of Registered Nursing experience
- Preferred: Critical Care, ED experience, Phone Triage, Hospital Transfer, Case Coordination, Telephone etiquette, Labor and Delivery or High Risk antepartum service
- Preferred: basic computer skills, excellent communication skills, strong work ethics and accountability
