Key responsibilities & impact

Report to the Procurement Manager
Handle special projects assigned by the Procurement Manager
Process purchase transactions, including requisitions, purchase orders, and match exceptions
Assist with management of the capital equipment process
Track related contracts
Manage the bid process, including conducting, executing, and completing bids
Mentor procurement intermediate and associate specialists
Ensure compliance with Arkansas State Laws, DFA Policies, UA System Policies, and UAMS policies and procedures
Conduct bid development meetings and organize and prepare bid documentation for publishing
Manage capital assets and leases
Perform other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in public administration, general business, accounting, or a related field plus three (3) years of procurement experience, or High School diploma/GED plus seven (7) years of procurement experience required
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
Ability to work on a computer 6/8 hours per day
Ability to perform routine office functions including verbal communication, filing, and light lifting
Persons must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
