About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain and support electronic enrollments for EDI
  • Complete payer and/or clearinghouse enrollment forms through online portals
  • Ensure UAMS providers and groups/clinics are enrolled and connected accurately and timely
  • Collaborate with Epic IT, Payment Posting, Revenue Cycle, credentialing/PSO teams, external vendors, and payors
  • Research RA/EOBs and contact payors or other sources to support analysis
  • Review and work Epic work queues timely
  • Resolve complex enrollment-related account issues using EPIC, Echo Credentialing System, insurance websites, EPF, FGP Billing Website, Out-of-State Medicaid database, and ON DEMAND FORMS
  • Maintain knowledge of third-party payer rules and regulations and resolve problem charges
  • Provide guidance and support for department workflow and daily operations
  • Establish, review, and implement procedures and timelines
  • Prepare projections, specialized research, historical information, and operating procedure updates
  • Develop procedures and processes with Professional Staff Offices at University Hospital and Arkansas Children’s Hospitals
  • Coordinate with physicians, healthcare providers, insurance companies, COM departments, Credentialing, and UAMS Professional Billing Office
  • Oversee initial enrollment, recertification/revalidation, and expirables management
  • Develop reports and automate enrollment processes where possible
  • Manage status reports, renewals, and enrollment updates
  • Perform other management, research, computing, analysis, and assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree plus two (2) years of experience in healthcare or healthcare management, including experience in payer revenue cycle, billing, claims, and/or Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), or Associate's degree plus four (4) years of experience in healthcare or healthcare management, including experience in payer revenue cycle, billing, claims, and/or EDI, or High School diploma/GED plus six (6) years of experience in healthcare or healthcare management, including experience in payer revenue cycle, billing, claims, and/or EDI required
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Meticulous accuracy required to support data integrity and analysis
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
  • Subject to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check, drug testing, and/or education verification
