About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead development and deployment of advanced thermal comfort physics models
- Develop and deploy grid demand response physics models
- Integrate models into Cosysense’s AI control system
- Translate building physics and human comfort modelling into production-ready algorithms controlling HVAC systems
- Support real-world deployment and validation in live commercial buildings
- Bridge academic research and practical industry application
- Work day to day embedded at Cosysense
- Engage regularly with the University of Edinburgh for knowledge transfer and academic supervision
Requirements
What you’ll need- Full-time commitment of 35 hours per week (part-time or flexible patterns may be considered)
- Evidence of right to work in the UK before employment starts
- Experience or capability in building physics and energy systems
- Experience or capability in applied AI and modelling
- Ability to develop and deploy thermal comfort and grid demand response physics models
- Ability to translate building physics and human comfort modelling into production-ready algorithms
- Ability to work with HVAC control systems and validate models in commercial buildings
