About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the tendering, award and contract management of a range of procurement projects
- Lead strategic initiatives arising from market engagement and spend analyses
- Deliver cash savings and other cost efficiencies
- Support knowledge creation and transfer aligned with the University’s Strategy 2030
- Engage directly with internal and external stakeholders
- Deliver innovative, fit-for-purpose procurement solutions aligned with University objectives and Government policy
- Take ownership of strategic procurements and maximise benefits across the University
- Contribute to financial wellbeing and the University’s international research profile
Requirements
What you’ll need- Practical experience and sound theoretical knowledge of end-to-end tendering procedures
- Experience using eTendering systems
- Solid grounding in in-life contract and supplier relationship management
- Good computing literacy
- Numerical analysis skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Commercial judgement
- Right to work in the UK required before employment
- CV and cover letter required with application
