About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Examine the organization’s financial status by collecting, monitoring, and studying data
  • Develop projections, reports, and presentations to support senior management’s financial decision-making
  • Establish and enforce policies and procedures supporting departmental financial goals and objectives
  • Develop, prepare, and coordinate financial analysis documentation, including budgets, forecasts, projections, expense performance, and presentations
  • Identify trends and developments in competitive environments and recommend actions to senior management
  • Provide analytical evaluation for forward-looking financial and business projects
  • Devise financial forecasting and account reconciliations
  • Review reports and ensure financial information is recorded accurately
  • Compare results with plans and forecasts and recommend adjustments
  • Train and oversee junior staff to ensure accurate and efficient work products
  • Assist with department and project budgets
  • Design and build financial models for growth and expansion scenarios
  • Develop performance and productivity dashboards, models, and analyses
  • Determine profitability and pricing for product offerings and develop performance indicators
  • Conduct research on strategic initiatives
  • Liaise with departments, vendors, and external parties
  • Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions
  • Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered
