About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the Division Chief for Nephrology at UHealth
  • Manage calendars and schedule candidates, events, and business-related activities
  • Submit and process faculty reimbursements and expense reports
  • Manage and update the CME expense tracker for Nephrology faculty
  • Facilitate the Annual Faculty Evaluation process
  • Facilitate the yearly Nephrology CME lecture series
  • Facilitate the APT process for the Division of Nephrology
  • Facilitate voluntary faculty appointments and re-appointments annually
  • Draft original correspondence for Chief review and signature
  • Assist with the Division of Nephrology’s annual report
  • Credential and recredential providers and maintain lists of licenses, DEAs, and Medicaid/Medicare numbers
  • Maintain CVs and biosketches for the Chief and faculty; enter CVs in Digital Measures
  • Schedule and prepare monthly faculty meetings, including agendas and minutes
  • Coordinate rotations for visiting scholars
  • Plan and coordinate special events and faculty recruitment visits
  • Assist with coordination of legally requested faculty meetings
  • Provide administrative and clerical coverage for other Sr. Administrative Assistants as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required, preferably in an academic or healthcare environment
  • Scientific background or previous exposure to bibliographic review preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional, appropriate appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to work with high level of autonomy and independence
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects successfully
  • High level of organizational and time-management skills
  • Ownership and accountability for all responsibilities and activities
  • Ability to problem-solve complex issues
  • Ability and willingness to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to interact successfully with internal and external customers and co-workers at all levels of the organization
