About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead research program teams to ensure successful system implementation and upgrades
- Oversee day-to-day operations and resources of research staff
- Support research programs’ growth and development
- Coordinate meetings with research staff
- Provide technical support and resolve operational problems
- Oversee department budget and identify cost-reduction opportunities
- Assist in preparing and publishing manuscripts
- Recruit and train research staff
- Prepare performance reports and disciplinary recommendations for the leadership team
- Analyze reports, data briefs, and auxiliary publications for new topic modules
- Define and produce indicators for a data visualization platform
- Establish and assess internal controls and compliance with University policies and procedures
- Serve as primary administrative and strategic coordinator for the Sylvester Brain Tumor Institute
- Manage institute meetings, agendas, notes, and follow-up actions
- Plan and execute logistics for institute-hosted events, speaker visits, and seminar series
- Organize the Annual SBTI Meeting and support global partnerships
- Coordinate internal funding mechanisms and faculty review processes
- Support philanthropic prospect identification and clinician-donor engagement
- Coordinate outreach, communications, sponsorships, and industry partnerships
- Maintain communication pathways between clinical and research teams
- Maintain comprehensive activity records and track engagement metrics
- Support annual reporting and institutional updates by synthesizing activity data
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of business and management principles
- Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations
- Ability to establish department goals and objectives supporting the strategic plan
- Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others
- Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others
