About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver online instruction in Biostatistics and Immunology through accelerated eight-week courses using Canvas
Develop and maintain course materials, including lectures, lecture notes, learning objectives, PowerPoint presentations, syllabi, and assessments
Design and administer examinations and other assessments to evaluate student learning and achievement of course objectives
Create an engaging and supportive online learning environment through innovative instructional methods and effective teaching practices
Provide academic guidance, mentorship, and timely feedback to students
Participate in curriculum development, review, and evaluation
Collaborate with program leadership and faculty to support academic goals and student success
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in subject
Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in Biostatistics and Immunology
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote instructional environment
Proficiency with technology and digital tools used in online education
Previous experience teaching in an online or asynchronous learning environment preferred
Experience using Canvas or a comparable Learning Management System preferred
Experience teaching accelerated courses at the graduate level preferred
Demonstrated ability to develop engaging online instructional materials and assessments preferred
Final applicants must undergo a criminal history record check and, when appropriate, a financial and/or motor vehicle history check
