About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain a campus-wide database of pertinent internal and external data
  • Collect and disseminate data to educational and administrative/support services units for institutional effectiveness planning
  • Assist unit coordinators with educational goals/objectives, assessment tools and criteria, and analysis of assessment results
  • Assist with institutional effectiveness, long-range, and facilities planning
  • Complete IPEDS and other external reports for federal, state, private funding agencies, and accrediting groups
  • Complete internal reports for executive staff, President’s Cabinet, administration, and faculty
  • Assist with campus-wide institutional effectiveness reviews
  • Assist with accrediting and institutional self-study reports and follow-up
  • Monitor trends in institutional research, planning, and accreditation
  • Provide workshops and seminars to inform institutional constituents
  • Compile and disseminate accurate data for institutional decision-making
  • Maintain daily contact with executive staff, faculty, staff, and students via email, telephone, and person-to-person contact
  • Perform other tasks and responsibilities as directed

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Educational Research, Data Science, Statistics, Social Sciences, Computer Science, Public Administration, or related field
  • 2–3 years’ experience with data collection, analysis, and report writing in an office of institutional research at an institution of higher education
  • Experience extracting data from Enterprise Planning Systems (ERPs)
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Informer, Power BI, or Tableau
  • Knowledge of developing dashboards and reports
  • Ability to undergo a criminal history record check and, when appropriate, a financial and/or motor vehicle history check
  • Application should include a letter of interest, current curriculum vitae, copies of transcripts, and contact information for three to five professional references
