About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Receive, review, and process graduate program applications according to University policies and procedures
  • Verify application materials and follow up regarding missing documentation
  • Maintain accurate applicant records in designated systems
  • Coordinate with admissions personnel, graduate program directors, faculty, and University offices to facilitate application review
  • Communicate application status, next steps, deadlines, and requirements to prospective students
  • Support recruitment efforts for multiple graduate programs
  • Respond to prospective student inquiries by email, phone, and virtual communication platforms
  • Provide information about programs, admission requirements, application procedures, registration, and enrollment
  • Participate in virtual information sessions, recruitment events, webinars, and outreach activities
  • Maintain communication with prospective and admitted students throughout recruitment and enrollment
  • Assist admitted and continuing graduate students with registration and enrollment
  • Coordinate with academic departments and University offices to resolve registration or enrollment issues
  • Monitor enrollment activity and support graduate student registration
  • Serve as a primary administrative contact for graduate students across assigned programs
  • Provide guidance regarding academic program processes, University policies, deadlines, and resources
  • Refer students to appropriate faculty, advisors, financial aid personnel, registrar staff, or other resources
  • Maintain electronic records related to applications, recruitment, admissions, and registration
  • Prepare routine reports, spreadsheets, tracking documents, and status updates
  • Track application and enrollment activity across multiple graduate programs
  • Identify process issues and recommend improvements
  • Protect the confidentiality and security of student and applicant information

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Experience in higher education, graduate admissions, student services, academic advising, enrollment management, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple programs, deadlines, and priorities independently
  • Demonstrated ability to provide professional and responsive service to students and applicants
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
  • Ability to learn and use student information, admissions, CRM, and registration systems
  • Ability to work effectively and independently in a fully remote environment
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive student information appropriately
  • Preferred: Experience working directly with graduate students or graduate-level academic programs
  • Preferred: Experience with graduate admissions, recruitment, enrollment management, or registration
  • Preferred: Familiarity with student information systems and online application platforms
  • Preferred: Experience supporting multiple academic programs simultaneously
  • Preferred: Knowledge of higher education admissions and enrollment processes
  • Preferred: Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment
  • Final applicants must undergo a background investigation, including a criminal history record check and, when appropriate, financial and/or motor vehicle history
