About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Administer transfer credit assessment processes within the Faculty of Arts & Science
  • Coordinate collection, review and processing of transfer credit documentation from students, academic units, and domestic and international institutions
  • Assist with transfer credit assessment and registration
  • Respond to student and stakeholder enquiries in a timely manner
  • Apply established standards for consistent evaluation of transfer credits
  • Analyze domestic and international academic documents to assess credentials and determine transfer credit equivalencies
  • Liaise with contacts to ensure consistent administration procedures
  • Probe for information to establish needs
  • Respond to enquiries within the defined scope and redirect as appropriate
  • Create and update student records
  • Update and maintain database records
  • Write routine documents and correspondence
  • Receive, sort and distribute mail according to rules and procedural instructions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
  • Minimum two years of recent and related experience administering evaluation of courses from other institutions for transfer credits
  • Experience providing front-line service to students
  • Experience assessing courses from domestic and international institutions
  • Experience applying University policy and procedures and ensuring consistent application of policies
  • Knowledge and understanding of domestic and international educational systems
  • Experience and sound knowledge of best practices in transfer credit and enrolment
  • Experience updating and maintaining database records
  • Experience with Rocket Shuttle, Slate, Degree Explorer, Mobility Online and ROSI or similar systems
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office, internet applications, email, mail merge, and database management tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to review and assess complex documentation
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality
  • Ability to prioritize and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Second language ability is an asset
