About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with faculty to develop student academic programs and agendas, direct implementation, and create curricular structures with operational and logistical arrangements
  • Develop the unit budget and approve unit expenditures
  • Evaluate operations and outcomes to ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Exercise supervisory authority over at least 2.0 full-time equivalent employees
  • Formulate program strategies and goals, direct long-term planning, develop policies and procedures, and establish and maintain program materials
  • Provide guidance to faculty regarding funding, staffing, and space implications
  • Manage student academic programs
  • Serve as the principal liaison between the program, University leadership, and outside entities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Demonstrated experience exercising full supervisory authority, including hiring, performance management, discipline, assigning work, and approving hours
  • Experience managing academic programs within a higher education environment, including strategic planning, policy development, and operational oversight
  • Proven ability to collaborate with faculty to design, develop, and implement academic programs, curricula, and logistical arrangements
  • Demonstrated track record of developing unit budgets, managing financial resources, and approving expenditures
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to serve as the principal liaison between the program, university leadership, and external stakeholders/entities
  • Eligibility to work in the United States on or before the effective date of appointment
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred Minimum
