Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide expert guidance during reconciliation of unit patient charges to ensure appropriate billing
  • Identify and implement changes in clinical trial protocol calendar setup
  • Provide training and resources related to research billing to study teams
  • Oversee research billing compliance activities
  • Advise researchers on proper setup and execution of billing activities for clinical-trial patients
  • Interpret complex clinical trial protocols using research billing rules, clinical workflows, sponsor requirements, and electronic system capabilities
  • Configure and review study calendars and budget setup for clinical trials
  • Perform Medicare coverage analysis for complex research studies
  • Work with study teams to ensure billing compliance
  • Develop and implement internal quality-control processes for accurate calendar and budget builds

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1-2 years of employment experience in Clinical Trial Budgeting and Medicare Coverage Analysis is required by the start date of the position
  • Experience with budgeting and/or post-award management
  • Experience in a medical and/or research setting
  • Experience with medical or insurance billing preferred
  • Associates degree required; focus in finance or accounting preferred
  • Cover letter required
  • Resume required
  • References will be requested from final candidates
  • Must ensure continuous eligibility to work in the United States
  • University sponsorship is not available, including transfers of sponsorship and TN visas
  • Must provide proof of work authorization and eligibility to work
  • Employment may require a criminal background check
