About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop reproducible workflows, analyses, dashboards, and reports for research and operational decision-making
  • Document analytical methods and maintain reproducible research workflows and standards
  • Apply statistical analysis, machine learning, AI, and data mining techniques
  • Design and implement automated data preparation, analysis, and reporting processes
  • Prepare, clean, validate, transform, and integrate datasets
  • Document approaches to address research questions
  • Compose reproducible workflows and reports to articulate patterns to researchers and administrators
  • Organize and automate project steps for data preparation and analysis
  • Assist the principal investigator with hiring, training, and supervision of students and staff
  • Participate in national and international meetings to disseminate research
  • Assist faculty with education and mentoring of research students

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • One year of statistics or machine learning in professional and/or staff setting
  • Experience working with Flywheel
  • Proficiency with Python, Linux, and general programming, especially in statistics and machine learning
  • Bachelor's Degree in Machine Learning, Statistics, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or another closely related field is required
  • Cover letter required

  • Employment may require a criminal background check
  • Occasional night and weekend events may be required
  • Employees must come to Madison, WI on quarterly preset dates, with travel expenses covered by the employee
