About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide writing support and communications management for organizational communication campaigns, internal newsletter, leadership searches, signature events, storytelling and culture-building content, and intranet website
- Lead management of the school’s internal communications infrastructure
- Shape internal narratives and institutional culture
- Measure the impact of internal communications using data and metrics to drive optimization
- Work with leaders and subject matter experts across the school
- Partner with the associate director on communications related to executive leadership priorities
- Work independently on projects
- Lead communication efforts related to the school’s new strategic plan and continuous improvement initiatives
- Build awareness and support of the strategic plan and its progress
- Partner with stakeholders to translate operational needs and change initiatives into effective communications
- Plan and direct unit programs and projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budgets
- Coordinate internal communications messaging and campaigns with campus and health system partners
- Identify, propose, and implement new or revised operational policies and procedures
- Manage day-to-day operational unit plans aligned with strategic initiatives and established objectives
- Develop, implement, and deliver communication materials through various mediums
- Plan, write, and edit content for internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least 5 years of experience in internal communication, organizational communication, corporate communication, or related work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience managing feedback, editing, and review processes
- Experience planning and writing internal communications campaigns in higher education, health care, public entities, agencies, military, or comparable large and complex organizations
- Experience serving as trusted advisor to leadership to gather necessary information and shape internal messaging and campaigns
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Bachelor’s degree required

- Continuous eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
