About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of CASL data systems supporting unit and institutional decision-making
- Integrate and manage data across platforms
- Produce high-quality reports, dashboards, and analyses delivering actionable insights
- Oversee database and SQL Server administration for data security, integrity, and performance
- Analyze, plan, and produce datasets, reports, and dashboards for unit, program, and institutional planning
- Design, develop, and implement business intelligence and reporting solutions using Power BI and SQL-based environments
- Generate recurring and ad hoc reports, including annual reports on identified key outcomes
- Provide timely data to leadership for strategic decision-making
- Serve as a point of contact for CASL database systems, reporting platforms, and data-related projects
- Develop user documentation and facilitate training for databases, reports, and dashboards
- Handle confidential and sensitive data responsibly
- Partner with academic and administrative units to integrate data from multiple systems
- Prepare datasets through data cleaning, quality assurance, transformation, restructuring, and source integration
- Organize data preparation and analysis into reproducible, automated pipelines optimized for performance and scalability
- Design, develop, build, and maintain database systems and SQL Server environments
- Implement security measures according to institutional policies and data governance standards
- Identify and resolve routine data and database issues while following database-use guidelines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, information systems, computer science, statistics, or a related field
- Three (3) or more years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, database management, or a closely related role
- Experience extracting, integrating, and analyzing data from multiple systems to support programmatic or institutional decision-making
- Proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries, views, and stored procedures
- Experience developing reports and interactive dashboards using Power BI or comparable business intelligence tools
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States upon hire
- Three professional/supervisor references required for finalists
- Criminal background check required
- Ability to answer required sexual violence and sexual harassment screening questions
