About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Achieve client recruitment and enrollment goals for UWW/EXP programs and services
  • Build and maintain trusting relationships with community partners to generate program applicants
  • Identify, prioritize, and develop stakeholder relationships to cultivate applicant pipelines, referrals, and opportunities
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with community agencies, career development organizations, transitional living centres, shelters, drop-in centres, immigrant and health programs, and other community service organizations
  • Create appointments and opportunities through cold calling, email campaigns, social media tools, and other prospecting techniques
  • Execute follow-up efforts to establish and maintain meaningful relationships
  • Develop, organize, and lead a partnership development plan
  • Deliver informative presentations to community partners and prospective clients virtually and/or in person
  • Network and represent UWW/EXP to improve its presence and reputation
  • Organize and participate in lead-generation activities, program events, job fairs, community education efforts, and marketing campaigns
  • Plan, organize, and help secure guest speakers for presentations
  • Deliver client outreach and recruitment activities
  • Monitor program processes and policies for high-quality service delivery and continuous quality improvement
  • Maintain partner records and communications in Salesforce
  • Conduct data reviews to ensure completeness and accuracy of key metrics
  • Run reports on key performance indicators and outcomes
  • Facilitate positive relations within the program team, other UWW/EXP departments, and stakeholders
  • Support program teams in understanding outreach outcomes for program planning
  • Support management in resolving issues and responding to sensitive partner inquiries and concerns
  • Maintain a deep understanding of UWW/EXP services and value proposition to engage participants in the coaching program
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4+ years of successful value/benefit propagation, relationship building or community reach-out experience and a proven track record
  • Results-driven and able to meet performance targets by deadlines and critical time periods
  • Experience with the prospecting process and the sales/partner development cycle
  • Strong expertise in client and community service with an orientation toward innovation and collaboration
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate via telephone, in person, email, and virtual meetings
  • Ability to foster and nurture internal and external relationships
  • Highly motivated, self-driven, results-oriented, strategic, logical, and methodical thinker
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Innovative, adaptable, and self-motivated, with ability to manage own workload and time
  • Demonstrable sensitivity, relatability, and emotional intelligence
  • Understanding of socio-economic and mental health barriers faced by people from all backgrounds
  • Understanding of diverse community members' experiences, including new Canadians, people with disabilities, LGBTQ people, low-income people, and racialized groups
  • Ability to inspire loyalty and trust with internal and external contacts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce (or other CRM), and Planner (or other project management software)
  • Ability to learn new tools that enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Previous experience, exposure, or understanding of social services, or a related discipline
  • Perfectly bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken
  • Personal vehicle and valid driver's licence
  • Lived experience of poverty and intersecting barriers is an asset
