About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own technical coordination of the Product Support Technician network across markets
  • Oversee field issue reporting, follow-up actions, and product support workflows
  • Drive accurate, complete, and timely reporting of field issues, product failures, deployment observations, and follow-up actions
  • Review technician reporting, identify gaps and inconsistencies, and monitor failure trends and recurring issues
  • Conduct technical reviews with Product Support Technicians and escalate product quality risks into the engineering pipeline
  • Plan and lead structured quality audits of deployed products across projects
  • Coordinate audits through country-based technical teams and maintain accountability for audit structure, findings, and follow-through
  • Perform sample-based inspections of product condition, firmware and configuration, calibration, installation conformity, data logging integrity, and operating performance
  • Plan and account for incoming quality control of imported finished products with Global Supply Chain
  • Manage outgoing QC, hardware release, installation, and retrieval of Retrofit DMRV hardware across markets
  • Conduct risk assessments for DMRV technology deployment and maintain a centralized risk register
  • Co-develop product validation protocols with the core engineering team
  • Coordinate local product testing and validation with certified laboratories
  • Manage collection, reporting, and channeling of post-production quality feedback
  • Track field-facing product quality KPIs across markets
  • Serve as the field-to-engineering escalation point for post-production product quality issues
  • Support development of in-country technical aftersales service capacity
  • Co-develop user support materials, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation
  • Coordinate technical knowledge transfer and onboarding for products, pilots, and new deployments
  • Verify country-level deployment readiness before first rollouts
  • Participate in product reviews as the field quality representative
  • Identify product quality risks during pilots and support mitigation strategies with engineering teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering (preferred), Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronics, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Equivalent technical qualifications and strong hands-on experience in finished-goods product quality assurance may be considered
  • At least 4 years of experience in product quality assurance, field quality assurance, quality management, or closely related roles for finished hardware products at scale
  • Experience supporting consumer, appliance, electromechanical, or electronically controlled products through pilot deployment, field validation, and early-stage market rollout
  • Experience investigating product failures, quality deviations, and field non-conformances, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions
  • Experience monitoring and evaluating product performance in real-world operating environments, including identification of drift, misuse, or deployment-related quality issues
  • Experience working across multi-site or multi-country product deployments
  • Ability to travel regularly to operational sites for quality audits, product evaluations, deployment readiness checks, and technical onboarding
  • Comfortable operating as a field-oriented engineer in live deployment environments
  • Experience with FMEA, risk management, and root cause analysis tools
  • Strong grasp of electrical and electronic system fundamentals
  • Familiarity with firmware-controlled hardware systems
  • Familiarity with data logging systems and interpretation of device-generated data
  • Ability to use multimeters, clamp meters, power analyzers, and other diagnostic tools
  • Ability to interpret engineering documentation, technical drawing packets, product specifications, and test procedures
  • Strong technical documentation skills
  • Ability to communicate technical findings to engineering teams and non-technical operational stakeholders
  • Strong collaboration skills across engineering, product development, operations, and field teams
  • High flexibility for international, regional, and in-country travel, including short-notice travel
  • Ability to work effectively in field environments and project deployment sites
