About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle with cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with the Engineering team using an agile mindset
- Review and help create requirements, specifications and technical design documents
- Follow product development from conception through production delivery
- Write test specifications and test case scenarios, and perform continuous testing
- Perform manual and exploratory testing
- Plan testing activities to ensure products are effective, accurate, suitable and free from defects, operational problems and errors
- Record defects so developers and business analysts can reproduce and understand them
- Create logs documenting testing phases and defects
- Identify areas for improving product efficiency
- Help troubleshoot issues
- Contribute continuously to the automation framework
- Ensure final products satisfy requirements and end-user expectations
- Create and improve quality assurance policies and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 2+ years of relevant quality assurance and testing experience
- Basic knowledge of test automation techniques, frameworks and tools
- Experience in specifying and running scenarios and test cases
- Experience in bug management tools and in reporting bugs
- Exploratory testing and critical thinking
- Ability to review users’ problems or complaints and prioritize issues experienced by numerous users
- Ability to assess quality attributes based on application context
- High regard for safety standards and quality control
- Experience working in an agile/lean environment
- Fluent written and oral English skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with programming languages (bonus)
- Experience with test automation techniques/tools (bonus)
