About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Cover the Central Alabama territory, including Birmingham-Hoover, Montgomery, and Tuscaloosa, with responsibility for secondary markets throughout west-central Alabama
  • Promote and sell UPS products, services, and solutions to new customers across all levels
  • Prospect for new accounts and secure appointments
  • Identify customer needs and deliver compelling sales presentations
  • Negotiate terms, overcome objections, and close deals
  • Drive new business growth by expanding the client base within targeted market segments
  • Generate revenue aligned with organizational goals
  • Conduct in-person customer visits 3-4 days per week within the assigned territory
  • Travel regularly throughout the assigned territory, with occasional overnight travel as needed
  • Potentially lead small teams, prioritize team tasks, collaborate with team members, and provide guidance or coaching

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven ability to identify, pursue, and acquire new business opportunities through prospecting, relationship building, and consultative selling
  • Ability to review, interpret, and leverage customer data to develop pricing strategies, identify opportunities, and communicate value propositions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and partner with team members
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer
  • Comfortable with frequent local travel and maintaining in-person customer engagement
