About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee administration of the Sales Performance & Policy appeals process
  • Ensure consistent application of Sales Incentive Plan policies, business rules, and governance standards
  • Lead review and resolution of sales compensation appeals
  • Provide strategic guidance on policy interpretation and align decisions with policies, business objectives, and historical precedent
  • Oversee governance initiatives, compliance audits, policy management, data analysis, and training programs
  • Update and maintain sales compensation policy and related documents
  • Conduct data source searches to ensure pertinent data capture
  • Create and optimize sales performance dashboards
  • Develop audits, technical support, and break/fix solutions
  • Maintain and optimize data processing
  • Support analytics needs requiring sophisticated data science
  • Communicate with Sales Management to resolve issues affecting sales performance and compensation
  • Review and investigate appeals, identify key facts based on policies, and present findings to upper management for approval
  • Manage day-to-day maintenance of sales performance data
  • Implement quarterly incentive payout processes for assigned countries or business units
  • Summarize monthly and quarterly results with program statistics and analyses for corporate and senior sales management
  • Answer questions about Enterprise Sales Planning (ESP) and Enterprise Sales Territory Alignment Tool (ESTAT)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer
  • Employer will not sponsor visas for position
  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree) or be a current UPS employee with three years of UPS experience
  • Strong technical skillsets including ESP, ESTAT, DRIVE, SQL, Excel, Visual Basic, Power BI, Power Query and Power Pivot
  • Ability to design/optimize business processes
  • Knowledge of database technologies and relational database schema design
  • Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to demonstrate concepts visually and in writing
  • Experience developing Power BI and Oracle dashboards
  • Ability to identify and measure current customer or business needs and help define project requirements
  • Experience supervising others
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Mathematics, or Computer Science
