About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Triage alerts and suspicious activity; document findings and escalate when necessary
- Investigate and drive vulnerabilities to resolution with engineering and IT
- Improve configuration and access controls across cloud, endpoints, and SaaS
- Maintain security tooling, including integrations, upgrades, and alert tuning
- Automate repetitive work using Python and APIs
- Use AI for log analysis, code, and initial documentation drafts, verifying outputs before acting
- Support incident response through evidence collection, investigation, and preventive follow-up
- Write practical runbooks
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years in security, IT, cloud infrastructure, or software engineering; internships and serious side projects count
- Working knowledge of networking, operating systems, authentication, permissions, and common vulnerability classes
- Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Comfortable writing and debugging scripts using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar
- Used AI tools on real technical problems and can explain how the output was checked
- Able to explain a security issue to someone who does not work in security
- Nice to have: SIEM, EDR, or vulnerability management platforms
- Nice to have: SSO, MFA, identity providers, and SaaS administration
- Nice to have: Git, CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, and IaC
- Nice to have: Incident investigation experience
- Nice to have: Automation connecting tools through APIs or MCP servers
