About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct specialized and highly complex financial analysis supporting pharmacy finance functions
- Provide senior management with analysis for operational, financial, and strategic decisions
- Analyze financial data using Workday, TPMS/Financial Advantage, Epic, Sage, and other pharmacy systems
- Review accounting policies and procedures for efficiency, accuracy, and GAAP compliance
- Produce pharmacy financial dashboards and review requisitions for financial accuracy and budget alignment
- Support over $100M in pharmacy purchase orders and invoice submissions, including accounting treatment and cost forecasting
- Research income statements and perform decision-support analysis
- Review financial data and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare reports, graphs, charts, conclusions, recommendations, and materials for external auditors
- Assist with cash-handling oversight and general-ledger reconciliation
- Investigate financial-data issues, evaluate variances, and communicate findings to leadership
- Assist with developing and modifying pharmacy finance policies and procedures
- Coordinate with University service departments, pharmacy managers, and directors on reporting, purchasing activities, fluctuations, and variances
- Provide guidance and training to pharmacy staff
- Monitor financial-management trends and adapt planning, control, and analytical processes
- Lead or coordinate assigned financial special projects, including timelines and activity plans
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in finance functional area and 2 years related experience required
- Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
- Master's degree preferred
- 4 years of related experience preferred
- Previous Pharmacy Experience preferred
- Familiarity with Workday (UR Financials and P2P), TPMS/Financial Advantage, Epic, Sage, and other pharmacy-related systems
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
