About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and update the monthly Capital plan to monitor near-term and long-term liquidity requirements
Coordinate with departments to prepare and update Capex reports
Update consolidated financial models and manage annual valuation and five-year plan models
Liaise with cross-functional subject matter experts to obtain valuation assumptions, assess impacts, and run sensitivity/scenario analyses
Manage the annual budgeting process, including stakeholder coordination, budget consolidation and analysis, and management reports and presentations
Manage the monthly forecasting process, including stakeholder coordination, forecast consolidation and analysis, and reports comparing budget, prior year, and prior forecast
Prepare organized presentations for senior management and Brookfield
Participate in process improvement initiatives and manage rollout and optimization of Onestream, Netsuite, and Procore
Identify and implement automated and streamlined reporting processes for timely management reporting
Develop dashboards for KPI tracking and reporting

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or Mathematics
Minimum five (5) years of related work experience
Demonstrable experience in a modelling role
Very strong knowledge of MS Excel, especially in financial modelling
Strong knowledge of accounting rules such as US GAAP
Experience in SOX compliance would be an asset
Experience in renewable energy or distributed generation would be an asset
Strong attention to detail; working in a conscientious, consistent, and thorough manner
Solid analytical skills, strategic thinking, and decision-making ability
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment
Ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders
Comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities
Hybrid in Houston, Texas: 4 days in office, Fridays remote
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
Visa sponsorship or transfer visas, including H-1B or L-2, are not available
