About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Schedule a high volume of new and established patient appointments according to physician templates and guidelines
  • Provide professional, courteous service to patients, physicians, and team members
  • Reschedule or cancel appointments due to provider schedule changes and document updates in the EHR system
  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information accurately in the EHR
  • Review patient charts to ensure appointments are scheduled appropriately
  • Follow up with patients who missed appointments and assist with rescheduling
  • Adapt to daily schedule changes and operational needs
  • Assist with special projects and additional duties assigned by leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong typing and data entry skills
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
  • Ability to manage high call volume while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
