About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as the subject matter expert for specific Workday modules and other enterprise applications
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance ERP processes, user experience, and system functionality
- Deliver Workday enhancements, including system configurations, business process optimizations, and module expansions
- Manage release cycles, regression testing, and roadmap execution for Workday and other ERP solutions
- Drive automation initiatives to streamline business processes and reduce manual efforts
- Partner with IT and cross-functional departments to ensure seamless integration across HR, finance, payroll, and operations
- Gather business requirements and translate them into product solutions
- Communicate with executive leadership about ERP system performance, capabilities, and future enhancements
- Provide prompt and accurate operational support with consistent documentation and change management
- Define integration strategies between Workday and other corporate applications
- Oversee API development, Workday Studio, EIBs, and middleware solutions such as MuleSoft, Boomi, and Cloud Connect
- Ensure data integrity, governance, and compliance across ERP platforms
- Monitor ERP system performance and recommend solutions
- Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory standards, and corporate governance guidelines
- Lead system audits, risk assessments, and data privacy initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, business, human resources, or a related field is highly preferred
- Past or present Workday certification in at least one core module is highly preferred
- 4+ years of Workday experience in a subject matter expert role
- 4+ years of experience in enterprise applications and ERP systems management
- Experience in enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, AWS, and Azure) is a plus
- Deep expertise in Workday ERP, including HCM, Financials, Payroll, and Security configurations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead large-scale ERP implementations and optimizations
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and system solutions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-making across all levels of the organization
- Strong understanding of data governance, compliance, and security models related to ERP systems
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing
- Must be able to use office equipment in an office or remote setting
