About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy end-to-end software applications and automations
  • Work with the Software Architect and Platform Development Manager across Azure and traditional datacenter environments
  • Maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot legacy applications
  • Collaborate with the data science team, platform automation team, and business units
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot web and mobile applications
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot automations and scripts using .NET, C#, Python, and other languages
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following documented frameworks
  • Participate in code reviews and team knowledge sharing
  • Debug and troubleshoot software and script issues; perform root cause analysis in complex applications
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and product managers to implement new features
  • Test and deploy applications, scripts, and cloud-based technologies
  • Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, development tools, programming techniques, and industry standards
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance by protecting confidential information and following specific guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of study and 3+ years of experience as a software developer
  • 3+ years of experience performing root cause analysis and other troubleshooting methodologies
  • Full understanding of Well Architected Frameworks
  • 3+ years of experience with functional, imperative, and object-oriented languages; knowledge of C# and Java preferred
  • 1 year of experience with scripting languages such as Python
  • Experience with Azure-based microservices and infrastructure
  • Experience coding, testing, and documenting complex systems
  • Ability to use version control software such as Git
  • Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and management to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates, and meet production deadlines
  • Experience with professional software engineering best practices across the full software development life cycle
  • Experience with unit test methodologies
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL Server or Azure SQL
  • 2+ years of experience with Azure DevOps, automated tests, CI builds, and release pipelines
  • Ability to work efficiently on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to apply the Azure Well Architected Framework to designs, troubleshooting, and deployments
  • Ability to learn quickly across technologies and programming languages
  • Ability to work through complex problems in a structured manner
  • Ability to work in an Agile software development environment and within a Scrum team
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Must protect confidential information and work within HIPAA guidelines
