Key responsibilities & impact

Provide contact and liaison between National Sales customers, the sales team, and internal departments
Process incoming orders
Receive, evaluate, and respond to written or telephoned customer inquiries
Work within established guidelines to meet service agreement objectives and customer, policy, profit, and quality requirements
Back up Sales Coordinator roles
Receive inbound calls and place outbound calls to provide product/service information, take orders, or obtain complaint details
Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions
Resolve customer service or billing complaints and verify corrective changes
Respond to inquiries, notify customers of claim results and adjustments, and refer unresolved complaints
Assess complaint validity and possible causes
Coordinate same-day deliveries and pickups; process pickup requests and delivery/routing issues
Respond to product inquiries and share additional services or products
Compare disputed merchandise with requisitions and invoices; prepare returned-goods invoices
Contact customers affected by product recalls and withdrawals
Recommend improvements to products, shipping, service, or billing procedures

What you’ll need

High School diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of three years experience in customer service call center environment required
Experience in food service distribution a plus
Excellent verbal communication skills and problem resolution ability required
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook required
CRM / Phone Technology experience preferred
Candidates must reside within 50 miles of a US Foods distribution center
Availability to work Sunday–Thursday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm ET
