About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a Tier 2 technical support resource within the Production Management organization
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, resolve incidents, restore services, and provide operational support for critical business applications and services
  • Work with the Availability Command Center, Tier 1 Operations, Application Engineering, Infrastructure teams, and external vendors
  • Investigate and resolve application performance issues, system alerts, batch processing failures, integration problems, middleware issues, and production incidents
  • Leverage coding, application architecture, system integrations, and technology platform experience to identify improvements and ensure reliability and performance
  • Analyze systems and processes to drive operational efficiency
  • Define technical specifications, standards, and requirements for scalable and sustainable applications
  • Follow Software Development Lifecycle practices across requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
  • Identify, assess, monitor, and manage risks according to organizational risk and compliance standards

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience
  • Advanced understanding of one or more of: Java, Swift, Objective-C, JavaScript, Kotlin, C++, HTML, CSS, SQL, Go, Python, COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ, and z/OS
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, AppDynamics, Azure Monitor, or similar platforms
  • Ability to correlate logs, traces, metrics, transaction flows, infrastructure telemetry, and application performance data
  • Advanced working knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker containers, and microservice-based architectures
  • Advanced understanding of API-driven architectures, integration patterns, authentication mechanisms, and service dependencies
  • Advanced experience with ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, and similar operational platforms
  • Advanced knowledge of Incident, Problem, Change, Event, and Knowledge Management practices
  • 4+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms, or production environments
  • 2+ years of experience in an Enterprise Availability Command Center, Production Operations, SRE, or comparable service restoration environment
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with observability tools, automation, service resiliency, SRE principles, and operational process improvements
  • Experience with Incident Management processes and operational support procedures
  • Experience supporting highly regulated industries such as financial services, insurance, or healthcare
  • ITIL Foundation certification and Azure or AWS certifications preferred
  • US military experience gained through military service or as a military spouse/domestic partner
  • Must not require immigration support or visa sponsorship, including H-1B, TN, or STEM OPT Training Plans
