About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify and manage existing and emerging risks stemming from business activities and the job role
- Participate in the full life cycle of data engineering, including analysis, solution design, data pipeline engineering, testing, deployment, scheduling, and production support
- Assist with implementing technical solutions for data reporting and analytic systems
- Design and write test scripts to verify data integrity and functionality
- Review existing test scripts
- Apply IT Change and Release Management best practices
- Deploy data pipeline code with assistance from senior team members
- Participate in design and code review sessions
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily standups, iteration planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
- Develop familiarity with data management best practices through training, documentation review, and reading existing code
- Learn business products and processes
- Assist senior team members in breaking down business features into technical stories and approaches
- Learn and apply new and emerging data engineering technologies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field
- 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a Data Engineer related occupation
