About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide decision support for business areas across the association
- Apply mathematical, statistical, scientific and quantitative analytical techniques to business problems
- Gather, manipulate and synthesize data, models and relevant information
- Draw conclusions and make insight-to-action recommendations that address business objectives and drive change
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and influence solution strategies
- Solve medium- to large-scale business problems affecting current or future business strategy
- Translate recommendations into communication materials for peer review and mid-to-upper-level management
- Use data visualization to communicate analysis to less technical audiences
- Identify and gather relevant, high-quality data sources through testing or exploratory data analysis
- Integrate and transform disparate data sources and apply appropriate data hygiene techniques
- Document assumptions, methodology, validation and testing for peer review and compliance
- Adopt emerging technology affecting scientific or quantitative analytical methodologies
- Deliver findings to influence management, business decisions and strategy
- Identify, measure, monitor and control risks according to risk and compliance policies and procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative analytics field such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences, Operations Research, Data and/or Business Analysis, Data Science or another quantitative discipline; OR 4 years of related experience in statistics, mathematics or quantitative analytics may be substituted in lieu of degree
- 4 years of experience in data/analytics or functional business experience within the respective industry of responsibility; OR an advanced degree in a quantitative analytics field with 2 years of relevant experience
- Competency in mathematical and statistical techniques and approaches used for fact-based decision-making
- Intermediate and some advanced knowledge of data analysis tools, data visualization, and developing analysis queries and procedures in SQL, SAS, BI tools or other analysis software
- Knowledge of relevant industry data and methods and ability to connect external insights to business problems
- Experience analyzing and optimizing Marketing Leads and Customers through the sales funnel
- Experience analyzing and optimizing marketing channels, including email, SMS, direct mail, outbound calls, remarketing/retargeting campaigns and next-best-action algorithms
- Expertise in designing and executing A/B tests
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner
- Must not require visa sponsorship or immigration support now or in the future
